LONDON: Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM), Chief Altaf Hussain expressed heartfelt sorrow and grief over the stampede, during the free distribution of ration in Khori Garden on Monday, in which 18 people died and many others sustained injuries.
In his statement MQM Quaid said that due to the extreme poverty people have been forced to stand in long queues to get subsidized flour.
“This heart-rending and tragic event is deeply shocking for everyone.”
He demanded government to investigate the tragedy so that effective measures can be adopted to avoid such sad events in future...link
